This Fee Schedule applies to all RooPay financial accounts and services.


  • All fees are in U.S. Dollars (USD)

  • Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice

  • Some third-party fees may apply (ATM operators, receiving banks)

  • Consumer and Business accounts have different fee structures where noted

RooPay does not charge these fees, but third parties may:

ATM Operator Fees

  • Out-of-Network ATMs: May charge $2.00-$5.00 per transaction

  • International ATMs: May charge $5.00-$10.00 per transaction plus currency conversion fees

  • Balance Inquiries: May charge $0.50-$2.00 per inquiry

Bank Fees (Receiving Institutions)

  • Incoming Wire Transfers: Some banks charge $10.00-$25.00 to receive wires

  • Returned ACH: If your external bank rejects a transfer, they may charge fees

Currency Conversion

  • International Transactions: Card networks (Visa/Mastercard) apply currency conversion rates

  • Typical Rate: 1-3% above the wholesale exchange rate

RooPay does not profit from third-party fees and has no control over them.

FEE WAIVERS & REFUNDS

When Fees May Be Waived

Account research fee may be waived if error found in our favor

Replacement card fee may be waived if defective card (not lost/damaged by customer)

Paper statement fee may be waived for regulatory-required mailings

Fee Refunds

We may refund fees at our sole discretion if:

  • Fee was charged in error due to system malfunction

  • Fee was charged for service not delivered

  • Circumstances demonstrate fee was unfair

To request a fee refund:

  • Contact [email protected] within 60 days of fee being charged

  • Explain reason for refund request

  • Include transaction details and account information

SPECIAL PROMOTIONS

From time to time, RooPay may offer promotional fee waivers or credits.

  • Promotional offers are temporary and subject to terms and conditions

  • Promotional credits are not cash and cannot be withdrawn

  • Promotions may be discontinued at any time

FEE CHANGES

How We Notify You of Fee Changes

We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of fee changes (or as required by law) by:

  • Email to your registered email address

  • In-app notification

  • Notice on our website at taskaroo.com/fees

  • For material changes, we may also send postal mail

Your Options If You Disagree

If you don't agree with fee changes:

  • You may close your account before the changes take effect

  • Follow the account closure process in your Terms of Service

  • Withdraw all funds before closure

  • No closure fee will be charged

Continued use of your account after the effective date means you accept the new fees.

When Fees Are Charged

  • Immediately: Card fees, transfer fees, wire fees

  • Monthly: Inactive account fees (if applicable)

  • Per Use: ATM fees, expedited shipping, paper statements

  • As Incurred: Chargeback fees, research fees, dispute fees

How Fees Are Collected

  • Fees are automatically deducted from your RooPay Financial Account

  • If insufficient balance, the transaction requiring the fee will be declined

  • Unpaid fees may result in account suspension

  • Unpaid fees for 30+ days may result in account closure

Viewing Your Fees

  • All fees are displayed in your transaction history

  • Monthly statement (if you receive one) shows all fees charged

  • You can filter transaction history by "Fees" to see all fees

Business accounts may qualify for:

  • Higher transaction limits

  • Volume discounts on wire transfers

  • Dedicated account manager

  • Custom fee arrangements

  • More than 100 wire transfers per month

  • More than $1,000,000/month in card volume

About Account Fees

Q: Is there really no monthly fee?

A: Correct. RooPay charges $0.00 monthly account fee for both consumer and business accounts.

Q: Will I ever get charged an overdraft fee?

A: No. RooPay does not allow overdrafts. Transactions exceeding your balance are declined at no charge.

Q: What's the catch with no monthly fee?

A: No catch. We make money on certain transaction fees (wires, same-day ACH) and interchange fees from card transactions, not monthly account fees.

About Transfer Fees

Q: Why does same-day ACH cost $5.00?

A: Same-day ACH requires special processing through the Federal Reserve's faster payment rails, which have higher operational costs.

Q: Can I avoid the wire transfer fee?

A: Yes. Use standard ACH transfers (free, but takes 2-3 business days) instead of wires.

Q: Why are incoming transfers free but outgoing wires cost money?

A: Sending wires requires manual processing and verification for security and compliance, while receiving transfers is automated.

About Card Fees

Q: How many free ATM withdrawals do I get?

A: Unlimited free withdrawals at 55,000+ Allpoint ATMs nationwide. Out-of-network ATMs charge $2.50 plus any operator fees.

Q: Do you charge foreign transaction fees?

A: No. RooPay does not charge foreign transaction fees. However, card networks (Visa/Mastercard) apply currency conversion rates.

Q: Why does a replacement card cost $5.00?

A: This covers the cost of manufacturing, personalization, and shipping your replacement card.

About Limit Increases

Q: Can I increase my daily limits?

A: Yes. Business accounts can request higher limits based on business needs. Contact [email protected].

Q: How long does it take to get approved for higher limits?

A: Typically 2-3 business days. We review your account history, transaction patterns, and business needs.

REGULATORY DISCLOSURES

FDIC Insurance

Your funds are held at Celtic Bank or Fifth Third Bank, N.A., Funds are eligible for FDIC pass-through insurance up to $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category.

FDIC insurance does not cover:

  • Fees charged to your account

  • Fraudulent transactions (covered under separate protections)

  • Investment losses

Regulation E (Consumer Accounts)

Consumer accounts are protected by Regulation E, which provides:

  • Limited liability for unauthorized transactions when reported promptly

  • Error resolution procedures

  • Right to dispute transactions

Business Accounts

Business accounts have limited Regulation E protections. You must report unauthorized transactions within 24 hours for maximum protection.
